TaxiPass was created by a dynamic team of
entrepreneurs and taxi industry experts, tired of carrying cash on trips and
looking for a way to charge rides that’s as easy for the drivers as it is for
the passengers.
Management
Jason Diaz, Founder
Jason Diaz is one of the leaders of the New York City taxi industry,
and is the founder of Cab Watch the largest cabdriver organization with over 10,000 members.
While at Cab Watch, Jason mobilized thousands of cabdrivers, secured
partnerships with the New York City Mayor’s Office and Taxi & Limousine
Commission and developed financial and organizational support from Sprint PCS,
Ford, and Clear Channel Taxi Media. Jason has a New York City taxi & FHV
license, and drives occasionally for various fleet operators.
Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, President Bill Clinton, and
Attorney General Reno have all honored Jason for his efforts at Cab Watch. He
has also been recognized as the New Yorker of the Week and Reader’s Digest Hero
of the Month.
Prior to Cab Watch, Jason worked as a consultant for the Monitor Group, an
international strategic management-consulting firm. Jason graduated Magna Cum
Laude with an economics degree from the Wharton School of Business.
"Corky" Stephen M. Gowans
S. M. “Corky” Gowans married for twenty eight years
and father to three children graduated from the
University Nevada Reno in 1974 with a degree in
education. “Corky” upon completing a very modest
baseball career joined the University of Nevada coaching
staff in 1976 and settled in the community of Reno, NV.
In 1979 “Corky” went to work for Nevada Foreign Exchange
as the General Manager until moving his family to Boise
Idaho in 1988. Starting with a princess telephone in
the den, Corky and his wife founded and became the
principle owners of Respond Inc., a Banking service
related organization bringing exclusive ATM service to
Boise ID and soon to be the entire Western United
States. Respond Inc. was documented in Inc. Magazine in
1996 and in 1997 has the 254th and 257th fasted growing
Companies in the United States, providing ATM, armored,
vault and transportation services. Respond Inc, grew in
numbers to over 800 employees in 12 States and was sold
to Loomis Fargo& Co. in 2002.
John Staley
John brings over 25 years of management, marketing
and sales experience to the company’s management team.
He most recently served as Vice President of Marketing
and Sales for the Glenn Matteson Division of National
Vitamin Company where he played a significant role in
turning the Matteson Division into a respectable
competitor in the marketplace. John holds a
bachelor’s degree from the University of Nevada and an
MBA from Biola University in organizational leadership.
He is highly regarded in his community for serving as a
mentor to youth and his dedication to family.
Amelia Rasalan
Amelia is the former controller and assistant controller to Carey Limousine.
Carey International is the world's largest chauffeured vehicle service
company. The company provides chauffeured sedan, limousine, van, and minibus
service through a worldwide network of owned and operated companies, licensees, and
affiliate services in 480 cities in 75 countries.
